Sunshine, food and music

June 2, 2014

The first Smoked and Uncut festival of 2014 - was an absolutely beautiful day. Held at THE PIG in Brockenhurst, the festival combines music with summer sunshine and delicious PIG food.

The day was kicked off with Luke Adams entertaining the crowds with a mix of his own songs and covers from the likes of Justin Timberlake and Marvin Gaye.

Hot Waffle Band followed and this big orchestra (17 members!) squeezed onto stage and belted out big, classic numbers from their repertoire including themes from the A Team, Sesame Street and Family Guy.

As the sun continued to beat down on all the festival goers, Eliza Shaddad started, and was the perfect artist to listern to whilst enjoying a Hog Roast.

The food, cooked to perfection by head Chef James, was an amazing accompanyment to the beautiful lyrics, outstanding vocals and intricate guitar patterns that could be heard whilst laying on a blanket in the sun.

Bird to Beast picked it up a tempo with some infectious tunes – a great duo and we can certainly see what Radio 6 have been raving about.

Up next was the beautiful Piney Gir and her band who really knew how to engage the crowd. And finally headline act Natives were simply awesome, ending the Festival on a massive high!
