Exploring our patch
Hideaway by the sea in Padstow
Located just a short stroll from Harlyn beach, Constantine Bay beaches and Trevose Golf Club! We are only a 10-minute drive to the sea-side honeypot of Padstow and a stone’s skim over the water from the buzzy towns of Rock and Polzeath.
Wander through our flourishing kitchen gardens, sit back and relax with a tipple or dine al fresco in the courtyard.
Harlyn Surf School
Take a surf lesson at Harlyn Surf School. Our friends at Harlyn Surf School can help just about anyone stand up on a board! With its reputation as one of the safer beaches in the county, the crescent shaped bay is great for beginners to learn how to master the waves with sessions run from the beach. If surfing isn’t your thing, Harlyn Surf School also offer an exciting range of water sports including stand up paddle boarding, coasteering and kayaking.
Stroll along the unique streets of Padstow, the town centres have boutique shops, small galleries and specialist retailers interwoven with coffee shops, delis and cafes. Pick up some of the best local produce, something handmade or uniquely Cornish at a craft fair.
Harlyn Bay beach
Considered one of the best family beaches in Cornwall, spend the day at Harlyn Bay beach, just a short stroll from THE PIG- at Harlyn Bay is a spacious beach of yellow sand and pebbles with plenty of interesting rock pools backed by dunes and situated on the eastern side of Trevose Head, just west of Padstow.
Enjoy the beautiful Cornish countryside on an 18- mile bike ride along a disused railway line between Wenfordbridge, Bodmin, Wadebridge and Padstow. The bike ride gives you access to country views and seaside towns with opportunities to stop at local shops, pubs and visit attractions along the way, bikes can be hired in Padstow, Wadebridge and Bodmin.
Many of our Chef friends are lucky enough to call Cornwall home, Paul Ainsworth’s Pub, The Mariners serves local brews and delicious food.
Other great places to Visit are Prawn on the Lawn, a very intimate hotspot where you can feast of the freshest seafood and Nathan Outlaw’s Fish Kitchen which is tucked away within a 15th century fisherman’s cottage overlooking the harbour in Port Isaac.
Along the North coast of Cornwall sitting on 4 acres of land lies Padstow Kitchen Garden, our head kitchen gardener Ollie loves to visit for inspiration and to share kitchen garden tips and knowledge.
