British Kitchen Garden food, true to the micro seasons and with a real focus on simple and fresh flavours.
It all started in the Kitchen Garden at our original PIG, with an abundance of produce growing all year round for our 25 Mile Menus. Our dishes change by the day depending on what the forager supplies and what our kitchen garden team deems to be in perfect condition.
Alongside our zero mile ingredients, we carefully select the best local suppliers so we can be 100% sure on the provenance of our ingredients. We are lucky at THE PIG to have Hampshire's distinctive location on our doorstep with agricultural farmland and the coastline within casting distance.

When you are with us please just ask the team if you have any questions about the menu, allergies or your dietary requirements.

Bringing dogsWe do not permit dogs inside THE PIG in the New Forest, although they are welcome to join you on a stroll around the grounds. Please keep them out of the kitchen garden and away from our animals.
Children and familyChildren are more than welcome at THE PIG in the New Forest, both in the restaurant and to stay. At THE PIG in the New Forest we have family specific rooms, lodges and cottages.
Dress codeWe’ll never tell you what to wear. Our restaurant at THE PIG in the New Forest is informal and relaxed, so come in whatever makes you happy and comfortable.
Food service timesBreakfast: Typically for residents only from 7-10am Monday-Friday and 7.30-10.30am on Saturday and Sunday
Lunch: 12pm-2.30pm Monday to Friday, and 12pm-3pm Saturday to Sunday.
Dinner: 6pm-9.30pm Monday to Thursday, and 6pm-9.45pm Friday to Sunday
Afternoon: We don't serve a traditional afternoon tea, however we do offer an afternoon menu of homemade piggy treats and sweet treats. Our Afternoon menu is served from 12pm-5:30pm in our lounge areas and on our outside terrace.
Wood Oven: The Wood Oven is open daily 12pm-5pm.
Lunch bookings are advised, however, Dinner bookings are essential! Please note we do not take bookings for the Wood Oven or Afternoon Menu.

Private partiesTHE PIG in the New Forest is a great place to hold a party. Our Green Room seats up to 14 people and even has its own garden terrace. Find out more here. The package is available for Monday-Thursdays between October-November and January-March, subject to availability. Breakfast at THE PIG in the New Forest is served in the restaurant where you can choose to either dig into our PIG grazing breakfast tables or pick something hot from our breakfast menus. Prices range from £15.95-£19.95.
Checking in and outYou can check in from 3pm at THE PIG in the New Forest, however, you’re more than welcome to arrive earlier to drop off your luggage and explore the gardens.
Check out is by 11am. We ask that you leave your room by this time, but please enjoy the surroundings all day. We can’t guarantee an early check-in or late check-out, but stick around and let us know your plans and we will try our best on the day.

Electric Vehicle ChargingWe currently have two Universal 11kw electrical charging points for vehicles at THE PIG in the New Forest if you require charging during your visit. These are free of charge to use for PIG guests, fully compatible with all electric cars. Full charge for your car will depend on the size of your battery e.g. a 40kw battery will be fully charged within 4-5 hours. Please note you will need to bring your own charging lead, and once your car is fully charged we ask you move it to a regular parking space.
AllergensRestaurant: Please speak to our Restaurant Team at THE PIG in the New Forest if you have any questions about the menu, allergies or dietary requirements when you arrive.
Wood Oven: Please advise your server of any allergies or dietary restrictions. We cannot make gluten-free flatbreads as the oven will be used for the regular flatbreads so there is guaranteed cross-contamination.

Our original PIG tucked away in the heart of the New Forest, our 32 bedroom country house is really a restaurant with rooms.

Nearest station
The closest station to THE PIG is Brockenhurst Station, only 1 mile away ( a 5 minute drive). London Waterloo run regular services to Brockenhurst which takes around 2 hours.
Taxi service
If you're getting to us by taxi, give Station Taxis a call on 01590 615141, who are based at Brockenhurst Station and will be able to get you over to ours in no time.
Nearest airport
Southampton airport is a short drive away around 20 miles (30 minutes in a car).
