The days are getting longer, our Kitchen Gardens are starting to burst into life, and the scent of freshly cut grass is well and truly in the air… the summer months are upon us.
While our Kitchen Gardeners are busy tending to tomatoes in the polytunnels and beans scrambling up their canes, a few of our PIG People are packing up and hitting the road for a summer of pop-up garden gatherings!
From show-stopping flower displays at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show to Kitchen Garden talks and demos closer to home, here’s where you can catch us over the coming months…
BBC Gardeners’ World Spring Fair, 2nd – 4th May
Beaulieu, Hampshire
We’re starting the season just a stone’s throw from the PIG that started it all, THE PIG in the New Forest, over in Beaulieu for BBC Gardeners’ World Spring Fair.
Set in the heart of the New Forest, it’s the perfect place to dig into your gardening year, with seasonal advice, hands-on workshops, drop-in talks and guided garden tours to get those green fingers twitching.
Plus, for 2025, you can buy a seat at “The Spring Table” and join our very own Group Bar Manager, Sam Vesey, for an interactive cocktail workshop. Together, you’ll be shaking, stirring and muddling a few of our favourite seasonal Kitchen Garden inspired tipples – and whether you’re a fan of spirited concoctions or a refreshing non-alcoholic option, there’ll be a range of tasters to suit all tastes. Sam will be sharing insider info on how (and why) our signature PIG tipples are inspired from the garden to the glass, and you can expect lots of tips, tricks – and seriously delicious drinks – along the way.

RHS Chelsea Flower Show, 20th – 24th May
Chelsea, London
Towards the end of May, we’ll be bringing our countryside veg beds to the big city as we head to London for the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. This one is a real dare in every gardener’s dairy – being one of the most famous flower shows in the UK!
This year, we’ll be joining forces with our garden pals from Claverton Cloches, whose handmade, Victorian-inspired glass cloches now have pride of place across our PIG Kitchen Gardens. Make sure to pop by our stand to get a glimpse of the beautiful handmade cloches and chat with some of our PIG people about how we use them, what’s growing on across our PIG plots (plus they’ll be sharing a few of the seasonal tricks we’ve picked up along the way for you to try at home!).
RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival, 1st – 6th July
Hampton Court Palace, London
In July, you’ll find us soaking up the mid-summer sunshine at Hampton Court Palace, one of the largest flowers shows in the world and a real favourite of ours! This year, we’re once again joining our friends from Claverton Cloches, as well as our greenhouse gurus at Alitex – the makers of our beautiful Victorian-style greenhouses you’ll spot across THE PIG Kitchen Gardens.
Yeo Valley Organic Garden Festival, 18th – 20th September
Yeo Valley, Somerset
As summer winds down, we’re finishing the season over in Somerset with our supplier friends at Yeo Valley’s Organic Garden Festival! Even better, our very own Kitchen Garden Guru, Ollie Hutson, will be speaking at the festival on Thursday 18th September, sharing his top tips for growing with the seasons and making the most of your plot, big or small.
So, why not come and say hello!
If you’re heading to any of these garden gatherings, be sure to pop by and say hello — we’ll be swapping growing tips, chatting Kitchen Garden plans, and soaking up the summer sun. See you there!
