One of Cornwall’s most historic houses, dating back to the 15th century, THE PIG-at Harlyn Bay has far-reaching sea views, cosy rooms, and oodles of original features and quirky character. Our rustic and relaxed cosy restaurant celebrates locally grown, caught and sourced Cornish produce. A stroll from heavenly Harlyn Beach, the hotel is just a 10-minute drive to Padstow.
However long you’re stopping
Whether it's for a few hours, a day or the whole weekend, the beach is at the end of our lane, the coast path runs right past the garden gate and Padstow is ten minutes down the road. Whether you’re after a slow morning in the Kitchen Garden or an adventure further afield, it’s all close to hand.

Garden & Grounds
Plenty of people arrive at THE PIG fully intending never to leave, and we couldn’t be happier about it. Start in the walled Kitchen Garden, where our gardener leads a free tour at 11 every morning, then say good morning to the pigs, track down the 400-year-old oak and finish in the Potting Shed at the bottom of the garden with a massage or facial.

Local Walks & Wanders
You might be surprised how much there is to do without needing a car. Swim, surf or sweat it out in the wood-fired sauna on the beach at the end of our lane, poke about in the rock pools when the tide goes out, then follow the coast path round the Seven Bays, or just as far as the pub, and every bit of it starts at our front door.

Worth Venturing Out For
If you’re with us for a day or two and fancy exploring the neighbourhood, these are the places we eat, drink and send our friends, all handpicked by our team rather than plucked from a guidebook. Spend a morning in Padstow, ten minutes down the road, hop on the foot ferry across to Rock, cycle the Camel Trail to our favourite vineyard or head out on a boat to look for seals.
Meanwhile, back at the house
However far you’ve wandered the best bits are waiting here, from supper off the 25 mile menu to a Cornish beer or a cocktail at the bar, and an hour in the Potting Shed for anyone whose legs have done enough for one day.
The Restaurant
Really relax in the heart of the house by tucking into flavoursome Cornish dishes brimming with seasonal produce straight from our Kitchen Garden, fresh off the boat, or sourced from our local farmer friends down the road.
Bar
Cool off from the coast with a cold craft ale or cider from some of the best breweries on the tip of the South West or one of our signature cocktails made with local spirits & liqueurs.
The perfect, laid-back spot to eat in Cornwall in summer, The Lobster Shed serves up fresh seafood, chargrilled steaks and seriously moreish sharing dishes, with sun-kissed outdoor and under canvas dining on the terrace.

Potting Shed treatments
At THE PIG-at Harlyn Bay, the Potting Sheds sit just beyond the gardens, with the sea never far from sight. Treatments use natural products and an easy, restorative touch, bringing calm after windswept walks along the Cornish coast. Our therapists tailor each session to you, and the Potting Sheds are open to both residents and non-residents.
Veg & Bed
Empty beaches, peaceful coastal paths, country lanes made for wandering, and log fires ready to welcome you back after a windswept walk. No traffic, no queues - just space to breathe. It might just be the country’s best-kept secret.
Slow the pace right down, and treat yourself to a stay with us, where a hearty PIG dinner and a proper breakfast the next morning are all wrapped up in the price.
