a sunday worth lingering over
A Kentish Sunday done properly

Give yourself the whole Sunday
At THE PIG-at Bridge Place, Sundays follow the rhythm of the seasons and, as we head into the warmer months, our full Sunday lunch menu is pressing pause so our fresh, summer showstoppers can take centre stage. You’ll still find a couple of our classic roast offerings on our 25 mile menu… just with a fresh Sunday line-up that celebrates the best of long, lazy lunches and leisurely suppers made for the sunshine season!
Soak up every well-earned drop of sunshine around tables filled with some serious summer showstoppers. Think crunchy, seasonal veggies from the Kitchen Garden at their very best, fresh-off-the-boat seafood, and our chef's summertime favourite plates – best enjoyed with something cold in your glass, and long, unhurried conversations.
Gather for an easy, laid-back Sunday lunch of freshly baked pizzas and a perfectly chilled bottle of English wine in our sun-dappled Garden Oven, or book an outdoor table on our restaurant terrace for a supper with unbeatable views out to the endless green of the Kitchen Garden, and gentle, countryside air.
A long, easy Sunday over at ours
Make a day of it at THE PIG-at Bridge Place

Arrive early, wander freely
Settle into the day with a stroll through the gardens or one of our free Kitchen Garden tours, where the team share what’s growing and what’s shaping the kitchen this week.
Our nearby forest footpaths, countryside walks and local vineyard friends offer plenty of ways to while away some time and stretch your legs before lunch.

A pre‑lunch pause
Before heading to the table, gather in the bar for a pre‑lunch drink. This is a house that hums on Sundays - relaxed, sociable and full of easy conversation.

A proper Sunday from the 25 mile menu
It’s the season of seriously good lunches outdoors, and our 25 mile menu is brimming with a new summer line-up of seasonal dishes and showstoppers that were made for sharing. Settle in and relax in the restaurant or pull up a chair at a table on the outdoor terrace - our courses come gently and conversations stretch. This is the heart of the day - a proper feast from the 25 mile menu, best enjoyed with good wine and good company.

Or spend it at the Garden Oven...
Soak up every last drop of al-fresco Sunday afternoons at our Garden Oven! No bookings needed to join us, simply drop on by for some smoky wood-fired bites or tipples in the sunshine.

Stay a little longer
If Sunday deserves more than a few hours, book a room and make a night of it. Wake to countryside calm and a PIG breakfast - a fine way to ease into Monday.
