We are so excited to announce that we have just been awarded a group-wide Three-star Food Made Good Rating from the Sustainable Restaurant Association!
 
The Sustainable Restaurant Association work to support positive change across the global food service industry. Their sustainability framework, the Food Made Good Rating, is the world’s largest sustainability certification tailored for the sector.
 
This marks our second group-wide accreditation, and we are thrilled to have retained our three-star rating. At THE PIG, we take a holistic approach to sustainability and this accolade is a true reflection of our unwavering commitment to sourcing responsibly, supporting society and protecting the environment.

CEO of The Sustainable Restaurant Association, Juliane Caillouette Noble, said, "One of our longest-running relationships, THE PIG Hotels have been working with The SRA since 2012, achieving a three-star FMG Standard every time. In this evaluation, our team noted how THE PIG cleverly prioritises prevention over reduction. Menus change often (up to twice a day!) to avoid food waste, with any surplus used in staff meals. They work closely with suppliers to limit packaging, and have reduced paper use and eliminated plastic straws, condiment sachets, and single-use toiletries in guest rooms.

 "THE PIG also shows superb attention to detail when it comes to provenance, with a 25 mile menu in operation at every site, Kitchen Gardens that guide menu development and a strong focus on supporting and celebrating small-scale farmers, fishers and foragers in each community. Well done to the entire group for yet another fantastic result, continuing in their long-term commitment to doing business the right way."
