Over to Ours
Sundays can often be filled with dread, a weekend ending and a new week ahead. But at our house, Sundays are meant for slowing down. An easier pace with good times and even better company… just time, spent properly, with the people you love most – that’s the deal.
At THE PIGs, Sundays look a bit like this. Fires lit, pots simmering, tables filling up slowly… it’s your warm, welcoming space to spend the day in your favourite way. With spring just around the corner, there are so many reasons to really celebrate the one you love – or simply a reason to gather everyone together – on the best day of the week. From Mother’s Day, to Easter get-togethers, and the first long-weekends of the year. So, if your kind of Sunday is slow walks through the Kitchen Garden, big flavours and good tunes… you’ve come to the right place.
To really relax and ease into the day, treat yourself, your mum, or a lucky loved one, to a Potting Shed treatment. Unhurried, hands-on and rooted in nature within our grounds. Treat mum to the sort of pampering that doesn’t feel like a fuss, more like a time to switch off and be looked after for a while.
A proper British Sunday deserves a proper British roast, and ours arrive in the middle of the table in big, generous dishes made for sharing. Whole hams glazed to perfection, chooks roasted until the skin crackles, garden veg taking centre stage - all made for passing around, all made for lingering. While away the hours and let the conversation flow as the wine pours and the afternoon unfolds…
If you fancy stretching your legs, pull on your wellies and head out for a wander. Each of our PIGs has its own storytelling countryside that hugs you in with adventure. And once you’ve taken a plod, our firelight lounges await with a warming drink to end your weekend.
And before you head home, take a little bit of the day with you. Bramley favourites to treat someone special – or just yourself! Bring a slice of THE PIG from our bathtub to yours, as a reminder of a Sunday well spent, long after the last glass is poured.
