a coastal sunday worth staying for

Sundays in the bay

THE PIG-on the beach

Sundays, made for lingering

At THE PIG-on the beach, Sundays follow the rhythm of the seasons and, as we head into the warmer months, our full Sunday lunch menu is pressing pause so our fresh, summer showstoppers can take centre stage. You’ll still find a couple of our classic roast offerings on our 25 mile menu… just with a fresh Sunday line-up that celebrates the best of long, lazy lunches and leisurely suppers made for the sunshine season!

Soak up every well-earned drop of sunshine around tables filled with some serious summer showstoppers. Think crunchy, seasonal veggies from the Kitchen Garden at their very best, fresh-off-the-boat seafood, and our chef's summertime favourite plates – best enjoyed with something cold in your glass, and long, unhurried conversations.

Gather for an easy, laid-back Sunday lunch of freshly baked pizzas and a perfectly chilled bottle of English wine at our Garden Oven with views out towards Old Harry Rocks, or book an outdoor table on our restaurant terrace for a supper perched high above the Jurassic coastline, as the gentle, salty sea air drifts on by.

A long, easy Sunday over at ours

Make a day of it at THE PIG-on the beach

In our book, Sundays are the best day of the week – and, in our house, they’re not just about carving out a couple of hours for lunch. It’s the final full stop on the last 7 days and you deserve to slow down, unwind and enjoy every minute of it. Take a pause and unplug with a gentle walk through the Kitchen Garden, eat well, linger afterwards (there’s no rush to have the table back here), and let the afternoon unfold naturally. Read a book on the terrace, enjoy a tipple on the grass, save room for a summer pudding to tuck into at golden hour, surrounded by the soothing soundtrack of nature. There’s no rush, no clock‑watching and no pressure to be anywhere else. Just good food, good company and a whole Sunday to enjoy it.

Start with salt air and sea views

Begin your Sunday with a walk along Studland Bay, feeling the sand underfoot and breathing in the sea air. Coastal paths and clifftop walks are right on the doorstep, making it easy to stretch your legs and build up an appetite before lunch.

A pre‑lunch pause

Back at our house, settle into the bar for a good glass of something. We’ll have the fires lit on the days that need it and the doors open onto the garden when the sun shows up – either way, it’s a relaxed moment to ease into the day and gather everyone together before heading to the table.

Take your time at the table

It’s the season of seriously good lunches outdoors, and our 25 mile menu is brimming with a new summer line-up of seasonal dishes and showstoppers that were made for sharing. Settle in and relax in the restaurant or pull up a chair at a table on the outdoor terrace - our courses come gently and conversations stretch. This is the heart of the day - a proper feast from the 25 mile menu, best enjoyed with good wine and good company.

Or if if you fancy some easy drop-in, outdoor dining...

There’s no need to book, just rock up, grab a table and dig into wood-fired pizzas, topped with locally sourced ingredients and zero-mile pickings from the Kitchen Garden.

Sunday Lunch FAQs

Do all PIGs offer Sunday roasts?

Our dedicated Sunday roast menu is taking a little break over the warmer months, so our fresh, summer showstoppers can take centre stage.

But don't worry! You’ll still find a couple of our classic roast offerings on our 25 mile menu at THE PIG-on the beach… just with a fresh Sunday line-up that celebrates the best of long, lazy lunches and leisurely suppers made for the sunshine season!

What’s on the menu on Sundays?

While our dedicated Sunday roast menu is taking a little break over the summer season, there’s still plenty to tuck into on Sundays at THE PIG-on the beach!

Settle in for a lazy lunch or leisurely evening feast from our 25 mile menu in the restaurant, tucking into a few of our favourite summertime dishes like our South Coast Fish Platter (to share); Monkfish, Trout, Scallops & Mussels served with Tomato & Tarragon Salsa, or our Gardener’s Summer Vegetable Risotto with Herb Mascarpone & Chilli Oil. You'll also find a few of our classic roast offerings on our 25 mile menu… just with a little bit of a twist for sunshine season! See what tickles your fancy by peeking at the menu HERE.

Or, if you fancy something a little more laid-back, our Garden Oven will be fired up daily, serving smoky wood-fired bites for easy drop-in dining all summer long.

Can I bring the family?

Of course! Sundays at THE PIG-on the beach are still all about relaxed, unfussy lunches with something for everyone. Whether you’re joining us in the restaurant for dishes from the 25 mile menu or something smoky from the Garden Oven, the whole gang is very welcome.
