city streets, warm breezes, deli bites
Long summer days in the Southampton

This is when our city hideaway really comes into its own

Outdoor nibbles & tipples

What's on the deli-bar menu?
At THE PIG-in the wall, we are all about relaxed deli-dining, rather than the full PIG restaurant experience. Daily deliveries from THE PIG in the New Forest (just 20 minutes away) and nearby Hampshire, Dorset and Isle of Wight suppliers keep menus changing, with deli salads, pies, quiches, Piggy Bits, sharing boards and sweet treats.

Why not pop in for brekkie?
How do you like your eggs in the morning? There’s something grounding about a proper good breakfast - plates piled with morning goodness, coffee poured generously, and nowhere you need to be.

intimate & quirky
Snug Room

Our smallest bedroom (with no less character!), the Snug is an intimate and quirky room with low ceilings and exposed wooden beams that were built with the house.
spacious & seriously cosy
Comfy Rooms

Our Comfy Rooms are large bedrooms with big cosy beds and unique features – each one is different in layout and character and filled to the brim with PIG charm.
seriously special rooms
Spacious Rooms

Each Spacious Room has a super king-sized four-poster bed, a freestanding roll top bath and a large walk-in monsoon shower, and extra cosy separate seating areas. There’s plenty of space to relax in and take in the views over the city.

Step Outside: Summer Walks & Garden Wanders
There’s no better time to explore than in summer. Right from our doorstep you’ll find rolling countryside, shady woodland walks and gentle rambles that show off the New Forest at its sun-dappled best, from leafy forest trails to wide open glades.
Our team has pulled together some of their favourite local walks, perfect for working up an appetite before lunch or stretching things out after a slow, sunny breakfast.

Outdoor eats at the Garden Oven

Unwind in the Potting Shed
Our treatment rooms are some of our favourite spots to hide out, tucked away in the peace and quiet of the Kitchen Garden. Sinking into a massage, facial, or scrub while the rest of the world does its thing feels like a really good kind of treat.
It’s time carved out just for you.

Golden hour: Buttered & Baked
After a long, countryside ramble, there’s only one sensible next step. Settle in for Buttered & Baked - generous, comforting and proudly un‑fussy, ‘perfect-for-3pm’ kind of moreish treats.
Think warm, savoury, cheesy, buttery bites and plentiful homebaked sweet things to finish. It’s the perfect pairing for a mid-week spring wander, whether you’re staying the night or just dropping in.

Summer Events & Live Music
This season at THE PIG's is about good food, great company and the occasional soundtrack.
Across our patches closest to THE PIG-in the wall, we'll be hosting live music evenings, relaxed garden gatherings and seasonal events that celebrate what’s coming out of the ground right now. Take a peek at what's on down the road...
