Leave the week behind in the Cotswolds.
(because planning is overrated)
Some of the best weekends start with a last-minute decision. A gap in the diary, a sudden urge to escape to the countryside, a bottle of something good waiting to be opened.
THE PIG-in the Cotswolds is tucked away among rolling hills, honey-stone villages and winding country lanes, with a Kitchen Garden at its heart and the best of the Cotswolds on its doorstep. No agenda required. Just fresh air, good food and a slower pace of life.
The kind of few days you didn't plan, but ended up being your favourite.
We're often asked which PIG to book for a spontaneous stay. THE PIG-in the Cotswolds has a way of making the decision for you.
Rolling hills, honey-coloured villages, charming market towns on the doorstep and a Kitchen Garden that shapes every menu. Pack a bag, head for the Cotswolds and leave the rest to us.

THE PIG-in the Cotswolds

Morning

Late morning
Pull on your boots and head out into the Cotswolds. Footpaths from the doorstep wind through rolling hills, meadows and ancient woodland, with honey-coloured villages and sweeping countryside views along the way. Take your time exploring, this is the sort of place that makes it easy to lose track of an afternoon.
Or venture a little further to nearby Cirencester or Bibury, both within easy reach and perfect for an unhurried wander. Browse independent shops, stop for a coffee and soak up the charm of some of the Cotswolds' most-loved destinations before heading back to the house.

Lunch

Afternoon
A treatment at the Fieldhouse Spa is never a bad idea. Tucked away in the countryside, it's the perfect place to slow down for a few hours and switch off properly.
Or, if you'd rather be out exploring, spend the afternoon wandering the boutiques and cafés of Cirencester, discovering the independent makers at Elkstone Studios, or taking a trip to Bibury Trout Farm and the picture-perfect village beyond. There's plenty to see, all within easy reach of the hotel.

Evening
A cocktail in the bar before dinner, mixed with ingredients inspired by the Kitchen Garden and the changing seasons. The wine list is packed with bottles from across England and beyond, making it easy to discover something new or settle in with an old favourite.
Dinner follows at a leisurely pace, with views across the surrounding Cotswold countryside. The 25 Mile Menu is shaped by ingredients from the Kitchen Garden and local producers, making every plate a reflection of the season and this corner of the Cotswolds. A nightcap. Bed.

The Next Morning…
Wake up slowly, again. The grazing table is ready when you are, and the daily Kitchen Garden tour is the perfect chance to see what's growing, what's being picked and what might be appearing on the menu later that day.
Then either check out at your own pace or, if you've booked an extra night, settle in for another day of good food, countryside walks and Cotswold exploring. After all, one more night never hurts.
