Slow down and spend the day with us at THE PIG-at Bridge Place for a relaxed chopping board workshop paired with a Simpsons wine tasting and Garden Oven feast.

We'll welcome you with a hot drink and freshly baked pastries before settling into a hands-on woodworking workshop with Oak & Rope. You'll discover the history of chopping boards, why traditional wooden boards have stood the test of time, and the fascinating natural anti-bacterial qualities of wood. Then it's time to choose your own unique piece of oak and, with expert guidance, shape and finish a handcrafted chopping board that's completely your own.

Once your board has been carefully sanded and treated with food-safe oil, it's time to put your feet up with a guided wine tasting hosted by Simpsons Wine Estate. As you sample a selection of Kent-grown sparkling and still wines, we'll serve Garden Oven Piggy Bits to nibble on before everyone gathers around the table for a generous two-course Garden Oven feasting lunch.

After lunch, you'll return to your chopping board for the finishing touches, buffing the oak to reveal its rich natural grain before carefully gift boxing your handmade creation to take home and enjoy for years to come.
