Reed Diffuser Workshop at THE PIG-near Bath

THE PIG-near Bath | Thursday 21 January 2027

Join us at THE PIG-near Bath for an evening of natural fragrance, a little creativity and a glass of English fizz, hosted by Tori and Emma from Dorset-based studio Old Green.

6pm-8:15pm

£75

You'll get stuck into the wonderful world of natural home fragrance, exploring a selection of essential oils and having a go at blending your own scent. Then it's time to get making, creating your very own 100ml reed diffuser, complete with a little handmade display vase made from a recycled fizz bottle, 12 diffuser reeds and a posy of dried stems to finish it all off. Something lovely to take home and enjoy.

A little fizz to get things started

We'll welcome you into the Old Dining Room with a glass of English fizz before Tori and Emma from Old Green get the evening underway. They'll introduce you to the world of natural fragrance, talking you through the different essential oils, their individual scents and how to bring them together to create a blend that's just right for you. There's no need to know your bergamot from your botanicals – they'll guide you through it all, with plenty of time to have a sniff, experiment and find the combinations you love.

As you settle in and get to know the different fragrances, we'll bring out a few of our favourite Piggy Bits to nibble on, with another glass of fizz to keep things ticking along.

Time to get blending and making

Once you've found a fragrance you love, it's time to roll up your sleeves and get making. With Tori and Emma on hand to guide you, you'll blend your own 100ml natural reed diffuser before putting together its little display vase, made from a recycled fizz bottle. Then comes the finishing touch: picking out your favourite dried stems and arranging them into a mini posy to take home.

There'll be plenty of time to get creative, play around with different combinations and make something that's entirely your own. By the end of the evening, you'll have a handmade diffuser, complete with reeds and dried botanicals, ready to find a home somewhere lovely. A little keepsake of a rather nice evening, and a new scent to enjoy long after the fizz has run dry.

Meet our host...
