THE PIG-near Bath | Wednesday 21st October 2025Gather around the table at THE PIG-near Bath for an exclusive afternoon of storytelling, seasonal lunch and seriously good company as Fearne Cotton is joined by author Lucy Foley to celebrate her brand-new novel, Murder at the Grand Alpine Hotel.
12:30pm - 4:15pm
£120 per person
We love bringing a good gang together in a warm, cosy space to share chats over great food, generous pours… and a really good ‘who-dunnit?’.
That’s why we’re delighted to welcome bestselling author Lucy Foley to THE PIG-near Bath this October, as a special part of Fearne Cotton’s Happy Place Book Club – celebrating the latest addition to the Miss Marple series: Murder at the Grand Alpine Hotel.
Co-authored by Lucy Foley and the estate of Agatha Christie, join us at our Somerset PIG to dig into Miss Marple’s latest mystery and an afternoon of lively conversation, a laidback (and properly moreish) PIG lunch - plus the chance to have your book signed before you head home.

We’ll welcome you into our house with a Marasca Mystery – a Miss Marple-inspired Cherry Brandy tipple! – to enjoy as you take your seat at the table with a glass of fizz and plenty of Piggy Bits to graze on before we kick off the conversation.
As the last of the nibbles are polished off, settle in while Fearne sits down with Lucy to chat about the inspiration behind Murder at the Grand Alpine Hotel, the return of Miss Marple and the stories behind the pages. There’ll be plenty of time at the end for you to ask your own questions, too!

You’ll then tuck into a wholesome and hearty two-course PIG lunch with perfectly paired pours of wine. And, before you head home, you’ll have the chance to browse and buy a selection of books by Lucy Foley and Fearne Cotton, courtesy of the local legends at Toppings Bookshop – and have your copies signed by the authors.
Fancy a peek at what we’ll be dishing up on the table Take a look at the menu below!
