The PIG-at Combe, which opened in July 2016, has been announced as a winner in the Conde Nast Traveler HOT LIST 2017 awards. The US-based publication, a hugely influential magazine known for its travel expertise, has recognised the hotel as one of the world’s best new openings.
The PIG-at Combe, a honey-coloured Elizabethan gem, is nestled in the Otter Valley near Honiton, Devon. It has 27 rooms and three new Curlditch Cottages which opened in April 2017. As with all PIG hotels, there is a focus on fresh produce grown, either in one of their three distinct walled gardens or sourced within a 25-mile radius. Dining options are a-plenty and include The Folly, with its ‘derelict chic’ indoor / outdoor bar and wood-fired oven, the Kitchen Garden restaurant and the Georgian Kitchen, a unique private dining room.
Fiona Moores, Hotel Director at The PIG-at Combe said: “We couldn’t be more excited, what a wonderful way to top off our first year; great recognition for the fantastic team and for the guests that have made our opening journey such fun”
The HOT LIST 2017 will be published in the May issue of Conde Nast Traveller and on cntraveller.com.
