New arrivals...

Spring has well and truly arrived, and with it comes a wonderful wave of new life across our PIG family. From gentle bleats in the fields to the playful snuffles of tiny trotters, we’re delighted to welcome some very special new team members. It’s a season that brings fresh energy to the land, longer days to enjoy it, and plenty of reasons to pause and take it all in.

Down at THE PIG-on the beach, our newest arrivals have been stealing the spotlight. The Mangalitsa x Berkshire piglets, now 10 weeks old, are settling in beautifully and quickly becoming firm favourites with both the team and guests alike. Full of curiosity and character, they spend their days exploring their surroundings, often found rooting around in the soil or trotting after anyone who might offer a well-earned belly scratch. The kitchen gardeners have been more than happy to oblige, taking a few moments out of their day to give them some attention.

Of course, these little ones aren’t just here for charm, they’ve already started lending a hoof in the Kitchen Garden. With an appetite for all things green (especially the things we don’t use in the kitchen), they’ve taken on the important role of natural weed control. It’s a muddy, joyful partnership that feels perfectly in tune with the rhythms of the season, and a reminder that sometimes the best helpers come with a snout and a wagging tail.

Meanwhile, over at THE PIG-at Bridge Place, the arrival of new lambs has brought its own kind of magic. There’s something special about seeing lambs bounding across the fields in the spring sunshine. They’ve been making the most of the brighter days, happily grazing and, in their own way, helping to “mow the lawn.” Their presence is a sure sign that the season has turned, a sign the seasons have shifted, with longer days and more time spent outside.

Head round to our patches this spring and meet the newest four-legged, feathered and furry friends of the team, why not join us for a free Kitchen Garden tour...
