A little time away, just the two of you

The best kind of escape!

Some hotels are somewhere to sleep between plans, but at THE PIG, we like to think it’s a little different than just a stop over from A to B…

When you arrive at ours and pop your bags down in your room, you instantly feel yourself unwind. You might throw open the windows to birdsong and the rolling countryside beyond, sink into a bath before dinner, or simply settle into a big squishy bed with nowhere else to be.

Meals have a habit of lingering a little longer here too. Lunch can easily drift into the afternoon, while supper often starts with a chilled tipple out on the green before making its way to a table for an evening feasting through plates piled high with fresh Kitchen Garden pickings, or the very best produce from our local fisherman and farmers.

The next morning is all yours and take it as you like! Head down for breakfast when you fancy it, stretch your legs for a morning wander around our local area, or sit back in a sunny spot with a steaming cup of coffee and good book. Theres no rush, just see where the day takes you.

Sometimes the best getaways with your nearest and dearest don’t need much of a plan. Just a good room, something tasty to sink your teeth into, and oodles of uninterrupted time together to fill however you like - the rest tends to take care of itself!

Find your PIG, book a room, and leave the rest to us.

THE PIG - New Forest

For couples that like losing themselves in ancient woodland.

There’s something about the New Forest that slows everything down before you’ve even arrived. Ancient woodland, free-roaming ponies and villages that feel untouched, it’s one of those rare corners of England that genuinely makes you exhale.

Our original PIG sits on the edge of it all, with Brockenhurst village a short stroll away and miles of forest trails starting more or less from our front door! Borrow a bike and disappear into the trees, pull on your walking boots for a stomp under the leaves, or simply find a quiet corner of the house and settle in for an afternoon of relaxing surrounded by nature.

The room we'd book: Forest Cabin

Tucked away amongst the trees, the Forest Cabin is made for a weekend for two! Wake up to woodland views, sink into the roll-top bath, switch off, and enjoy having nowhere else to be.
