We are delighted that THE PIG has once again been named Sustainable Hotel Restaurant of the Year at the Sustainable Restaurant Awards (SRA) 2015. As previous holders of this award in 2012 and 2014 we are thrilled that our continuous commitment to our local suppliers and our 25-mile menu has ensured that we were once again awarded with this prestigious title.
The award was presented by Raymond Blanc (President of the Sustainable Restaurant Association), and we beat off stiff competition to be officially unveiled the winner at the ceremony at Oval Space, London last Friday.
THE PIG also came runner-up in two other categories, SRA Award for Sourcing and English Sustainable Restaurant of the Year.
Raymond Blanc said: “These awards are for me as important as Michelin Stars. They represent what everybody who is passionate about food should regard as the perfect ingredients: good ethics, an understanding that food touches every part of our lives and a desire to ensure that future generations will be able to experience from it the same pleasure as we have.”
