Last week the wonderful people over at Pear and Ginger held a fundraising dinner to raise funds for those affected by Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines.
The event was an incredible success raising over £35,000 for Action Against Hunger's Philippines Appeal. The dinner was organised in just 14 days from conception to completion and not one penny was spent on organising the event, every little element was donated from the design and print, to the ingredients, wine, cutlery, flowers, cookers and much more
160 guests attended the night - making history as it was the first ever dinner held at Romsey Abbey. The London Welsh Male Voice Choir gave a wonderful performance over starter moving several guests to tears.
THE PIG's James Golding was involved in the 4-course dinner preparing a Pear & Frangipane Tartlet, with nut Brittle and Crème Fraiche and guests were also treated to dishes prepared by Hampshire’s finest chefs.
