Whether you’re joining us first thing for a Garden Bloody Mary pick-me-up or a late nightcap, we will smash, muddle, blend, shake and throw our way to making you your perfect drink. All of our cocktails are designed with the Kitchen Garden in mind. Our Head Kitchen Gardener at THE PIG-at Combe provides all of the essential ingredients to infuse our Chase Distillery Spirits with. Like our restaurant, our aim is to provide high-quality products in the most sustainable, local and resourceful way possible.

Garden Infusions with Chase Distillery
Head to the bar in any of our PIGs, and you’ll notice our eclectic collections of botanical-infused vodkas with all sorts of garden pickings including Rosemary, Thyme, Basil, Horseradish, Cucumber, Strawberry and Pelagonium! The teams behind the bar at THE PIG are the curators of these diverse concoctions, made with herbs and flavours sourced from our kitchen gardens when they’re at their absolute best.
Garden to Glass Cocktails
We like to make the most out of our Kitchen Garden ingredients at THE PIG by bringing the garden to your glass... you won't find a bar around quite like ours.
Our Bar Team work with our Kitchen Gardeners at THE PIG-at Combe to bring in fresh ingredients to experiment with, so you can sip on something truly unique. For example, our plum infused Pisco goes into our Pisco Sour ‘The Favourite’ and our Rosemary infused smoked Vodka goes into our Bloody Marys.

The availability shown online is live and always up-to-date. If you can’t find the date you’re after, please email firstname.lastname@example.org so we can add you to our waiting list.
However, it’s worth checking out our other properties as we may have rooms or tables available elsewhere.
We do not permit dogs inside THE PIG-at Bridge Place. As the restaurant terrace and wood-oven are located within the Kitchen Garden, unfortunately, your furry friends will not be able to join you for lunch in the gardens.
Children are more than welcome at THE PIG-at Bridge Place, both in the restaurant and to stay. At THE PIG-at Bridge Place, some of our rooms are suitable for an extra bed or cot, just ask us when booking and we can arrange this for you upon your arrival.
We’ll never tell you what to wear. Our restaurants are informal places, so come in whatever makes you happy and comfortable.
Breakfast is available for residents from 7-10am Monday-Friday and 7.30-10.30am on Saturday and Sunday. We serve Lunch from 12-4.30pm daily and Dinner from 6.00-9.30pm daily. Lunch bookings are advised, however Dinner bookings are essential!
Right in the heart of the walled Kitchen Garden is our rustic and reclaimed outdoor kitchen, open during the summer months from 12-5:30pm. No need to book! Just drop in for some relaxed sunshine dining and a glass of something chilled. As always, seating will be on a first come first served basis. Physical distancing will be strictly observed so numbers will be limited.
During August and September our restaurant has been extended out onto our terrace to allow for physical distancing in line with Government guidance. You will still be able to join us for drop in dining at our wood-ovens, but please note this is weather dependent and wood-oven sittings will not be able to be accommodated inside due to capacity. We strongly advise checking in with your chosen PIG before visiting if the weather is on the wetter side to see if we are open to avoid disappointment.
Unless we are running a special deal and it is stated within the terms, all of our rates are on a room only basis so are inclusive of VAT only.
Breakfast will be served at guests’ tables in the restaurant, as sadly our much-loved PIG grazing breakfast tables are not viable with current guidelines. All of the goodies that were on the Breakfast table will now be available, along with our hot dishes on our new Breakfast menus. Prices range from £10-£15.
You can check in from 4pm at all of our properties, however, you’re more than welcome to arrive earlier to drop off your luggage and explore the gardens. Due to current physical distancing guidelines, we are limiting capacity in the main hotel, so you might not be able to make the most of the lounges until you have checked in. The team will be on hand to help you when you arrive.
Check out is by 11am. We ask that you leave your room by this time, but please enjoy the surroundings all day. We can’t guarantee an early check-in or late check-out, but stick around and let us know your plans and we will try our best on the day.
At THE PIG-at Bridge Place there is access to the grounds and the restaurant in the Coach House. Due to being a listed building there is currently no wheelchair access to the main house. Nestled in the Otter Valley and just 15 minutes from the coast; this is our secluded, mellow, honey-coloured restaurant with rooms.
THE PIG-at Combe
The hotel is 15 miles away from Exeter; the drive should take 20 minutes. There’s free parking when you arrive.
Travelling on the M5 North or South or from Exeter take junction 29 onto the A30 and head East towards Honiton, exit the A30 for Feniton and follow signs to Gittisham and the brown Pig signs.
A30/A35 west, after Honiton, exit the A30 for Fenny Bridges and follow the brown Pig signs to Gittisham.
Please be aware that if you follow Google maps you will end up going down Farm Tracks that are not suitable for cars.
The closest station to THE PIG-at Combe is Honiton Station, three miles away. Great Western runs hourly services to this station from London Paddington and Waterloo via Exeter St David’s.
If you're getting to us by taxi, give Sparkys Taxis a call on 01404 47670 who'll be able to get you over to ours in no time. They're a Honiton based company who run a twenty-four hour service and have a wide selection of vehicles tailored to your group-size, so the more of you the merrier! Sparkys are also able to do airport transfers and can do bookings in advance.
If you need to be within close proximity to an airport, Exeter Airport is 11 miles away and it takes around 20 minutes to arrive there by car.
