THE PIG in The New Forest is all about the walled garden. Everything is driven by the gardener, forager and chef - they grow and find the food, the chef then creates the 25-mile menu (what we can't get from our garden and grounds is sourced locally). This immediacy from garden to plate is THE PIG's trademark!

Home grown in every way; our 26 bedroom country house in Brockenhurst is original, relaxed and sitting comfortably within its environment. It isn't perfect! But it's comfy, interesting and homely with muted colours, a bit shabby chic, evolved rather than interior designed.

    Everyone loves a Potting Shed to hide in, but in our shed you can also have a great massage. An original garden shed that has been transformed into a single treatment room with charming features such as the rake-turned-curtain rail.

  • De-Stress Massage

    £75 for 60 minutes or £105 for 90 minutes - To relieve stress and tension or for pure indulgence, a total sense of relaxation and well-being. The massage is complemented with an organic aromatherapy oil blend.

    Deep Tissue Massage

    £75 for 60 minutes or £105 for 90 minutes -  Using organic massage oils to specifically target muscle fatigue, aimed at helping the body recover from tension, aches and muscle pains. 

    Reflexology

    £75 for 60 minutes -  The ancient art of foot massage, a pressure is applied to stimulate deep relaxation, restoring your sense of well-being and boosting your immune system.

    THE PIG Signature Treatment

    £145 for 120 minutes -  Two blissful hours of uninterrupted “you-time”, using our finest organic skincare range. Enjoy a detoxifying nettle and lemon tea fresh from our Kitchen Garden, relax with an essential oil foot soak and scrub.  You will then be treated to a deeply soothing full body massage, a gently reviving facial and tension releasing scalp massage.

Exploring our patch and the local area

The home-grown theme continues into the gardens where informal areas have been created where guests can kick back and relax over a glass (or two!) and even savour some al fresco dining courtesy of the wood fired oven in the courtyard.

A gentle stroll down the gravel and brick path will lead to further surprises; our smoke house, kitchen garden, greenhouse, fruit cages, wild flower meadow orchard, chickens and a paddock with our five very active pigs!

    THE PIG works in partnership with Howard Taylor, the founder of Upstream Dry Fly, offering exclusive access to some of the most sought after private estate fly fishing in the world.

    Get the absolute most out of your precious time on the water with one of our professional fly fishing guides who will collect you from the hotel after breakfast and spend the day with you on the riverbank.

    You can enjoy an introduction to fly fishing with private tuition and exclusive use of our spring fed private estate lake near Stockbridge.

    Typical chalk stream fly fishing day:
    08.30am Your friendly fishing guide collects you from THE PIG after a hearty breakfast.
    09.15am Tackle up and begin your fishing.
    1.00pm Relax on the lawn of the estate 'fishing gardens' in the shade of thatched fishermen's huts and trickle of crystal clear water. Your lunchtime treat is a superb PIG hamper specially prepared by James and his team.
    2.00pm Enjoy some dry fly action as the evening rise approaches.
    Evening Return to the hotel for a well earned drink and some tall fishing tales at the bar, followed by dinner.

Meeting facilities

Our private dining area 'The Green Room' is a fantastic venue with lots of natural daylight perfect for holding a meeting.

This room can seat up to 14 people on one table, there is a glass wall separating the room from the restaurant, with a curtain that can be pulled across for privacy.

The Green Room is available Monday to Friday.
